But judging by the GC Inbox alone it seems it’s already having the desired effect. I too am very surprised with Microsoft’s announcement of Kinect-less Xbox One so early on. I just hope by then there will be some decent games worth buying come the end of this year guys? So it will be happy days for my two little ones this coming Crimbo. Well I’d just like to say a big thank you to Sainsbury’s, due to the one-off 20% staff discount that started today because I’ve just bagged myself a brand new PlayStation 4 and an extra official Sony joypad for just £319, saving £85 in total. Then I will decide what next console to get (or PC). This year could be make or break for consoles, thankfully I’m happy with my Xbox 360 and have enough games to last me till next year. You have got Sony with its huge losses, Nintendo with shocking Wii U sales, and Microsoft struggling to know what it wants to do. The gaming industry seems to be heading for a crash (for consoles anyway). It just seems Microsoft haven’t got a clue, let’s just hope they announce some great games at E3. A Kinect-less Xbone should be under £300 as it’s less powerful than the PlayStation 4. Even now I have seen it for £399 with a game and Kinect. The problem I have is that £349 is still too expensive, especially as it was sold at that price with Kinect and a game in some shops. I know a fair bit has already been said about this but I knew Microsoft would sell the Xbone without Kinect, but I didn’t expect it to happen so soon. The future of Sony depends on factors completely unconnected to gaming, but they do recognise that PlayStation is one of their most important divisions and that at least is encouraging. GC: Designing and manufacturing a new console costs a lot of money and always has a major impact on a company’s bottom line for a year or two. That brings me to Sony the PlayStation division lost $78 million that baffles me by the way and the company as a whole lost nearly half a billion dollars and is projected to do the same next year how are they surviving? Are they getting bank loans? I know you guys aren’t economists but it’s not looking so good for Sony what’s your take on Sony’s future? Can they get rid of the dead weight in time? Any Xbox losses can be easily absorbed as long as they choose to support it.
In fact it baffles me why Nintendo haven’t tried that tactic already, introduce a 64GB version and a 128GB version to help justify the high price.Įverybody has been focusing on Nintendo’s woes lately but with a pile of cash like Scrooge McDuck from Duck Tales they will be OK and Microsoft on the Windows gravy train, they are fine also. Well, thinking about it sub £200 with a 128GB flash storage. Unfortunately for the wider public and gaming community I still think it’s at least one to two games and a sub £150 price tag, away from success. I know there is a lack of releases for the Wii U in general, however I find it hard to see how any Wii U owners can be unhappy with their purchase, considering there are two bona fide classics and a handful of very interesting titles. So the reviews are in and Mario Kart is a great game. A new Metroid announcement and gameplay of Zelda Wii U are all I want from E3, and maybe a release date for Team Ico’s long-delayed follow-up to Shadow Of The Colossus. Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit is available now for Switch. The quality of Mario Kart 8 and it’s graphics have heightened my anticipation of Nintendo’s E3 ‘digital event’, Nintendo have always had the imagination to make their games look good, and now they have the hardware.
